Serving God, Changing Lives.

Hosanna Lutheran Church, serving north Houston, The Woodlands and Spring Texas, is a half-mile south of FM 1960 on Ella Boulevard, across from Westfield High School.

Hosanna is your family. We are teachers, students, lawyers, entrepreneurs, doctors, nurses, accountants, golfers, fishermen, dreamers, musicians and artists. We are children, parents and grandparents unified in our relationship with God. We laugh together, serve together, cry together and worship together.

What to expect at Hosanna

Visiting a church for the first time can be a uncertain experience. To help avoid any worries here's a quick summary of what to expect at Hosanna.

The main entrances are on the north and south sides (where most of the cars are parked).

The worship center/sanctuary is at the rear (east end) of the building.

Classrooms for Sunday school and Adult Education are in the center and west end.

Offices are on the northeast side (look for "OFFICES" in white lettering on the green awning over the entrance).

Worship at Hosanna

Those arriving prior to worship can find a seat and spend time praying, reading the newsletter or greeting others. Don't be afraid to ask questions.

During worship God's word is read, the sermon gives us new incites and our Lord's body and blood are received in Holy Communion. For children there is "Kid's Church" during the sermon, with all children participating in a Bible-based lesson and activity. In these ways, God is present with us giving us what we need so much — mercy, forgiveness, love, joy, peace, power and comfort.

What to wear

That's easy. Dress however you feel comfortable. Whether you come in a suit or in shorts that's fine.

For those with disabilities

Hosanna is accessible for those with disabilities. Parking spaces for the physically impaired are at the north entrance. Restrooms are handicapped accessible. If you have specific needs please contact the church office (281-440-6890).

For children

"Kid's Church" during the sermon for all children. Children's bulletins and activity packets are available. Ask an usher. Check out Hosanna's fabulous playground with its tire swing, "tree houses," climbing wall and slides.

For those with young children

Staffed nursery is available during Sunday worship for children age 5 and under.

Is it just Sundays?

Absolutely not! God is with us all week long and we aim to lead God-pleasing lives. We're not perfect. We make mistakes, but we desire to make a positive difference in everything we do.

To further encourage us

We have Bible study every Wednesday @ 10 AM and Adult Education Sundays @ 9 AM. An active seniors group gathers for monthly outings. For men there are golf outings, fishing trips and service projects throughout the year. Women participate in monthly luncheons, service projects and other activities. For children there are servant events, retreats and camping weekends at Camp Lutherhill in LaGrange. Many of us are involved in service projects: Habitat for Humanity, Prayer Shawl Ministry, Quilting Group, Interfaith Care Partners, Interfaith Hospitality Network, African Initiative, Mulkey Scholarship Fund, etc.
