Hosanna Women of the ELCA 

A Community of women created in the image of God, called to discipleship in Jesus Christ, and empowered by the Holy Spirit. Every woman of Hosanna is a member of the Hosanna Women of the ELCA.

Purpose of the Hosanna Women of the ELCA 

We commit ourselves to grow in faith, affirm our gifts, support one another in our callings, engage in ministry and action, and promote healing and wholeness in the church, the society and the world.

The Board meets the fourth Tuesday of the month at Hosanna, 6:30 PM. All Women of Hosanna are welcome to attend meetings.

The Hosanna Women of the ELCA are part of the Women of the ELCA (Evangelical Lutheran Church in America)

Events of the Hosanna Women of the ELCA:

February: Valentine Breakfast at a neighborhood restaurant. All women, friends and neighbors are invited.

April: Spring Fling Breakfast. All women, friends, neighbors and relatives are invited.

September: Christmas in September Bake Sale benefits families in need at Christmas time.

October: Fall Festival for all Hosanna members and neighbors.

Habitat for Humanity Lunch project provides lunches for workers at job sites.

Helping Hands Baskets benefits families of cancer patients in Houston for treatment at MD Anderson.

Rachel’s Day Sunday: Offering for women and children in need.

African Initiative: Provides full high school scholarships to teens in the Ngara area of Tanzania, Africa.

Equal Exchange Project: Monthly sales (first Sunday of each mounth) of coffee, chocolate and snacks benefits farmers and their families in Third World Countries and the United States.
